TUESDAY 10:30 AM - 12 PM
THURSDAY 10:30 AM - 12 PM
Koordak Ninni Ones Playgroup is a playgroup program that is designed to provide a culturally rich and supportive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families with children aged 0-5 years old. The program is delivered by Koordak and NGALA a non-profit organisation that provides parenting and early childhood services in Western Australia.
The Koordak Ninni Ones Playgroup program is based on the principles of cultural safety, respect, and inclusivity. It aims to provide a space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families can come together to connect, share experiences, and learn from each other. The program is facilitated by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community educators who have a deep understanding of the cultural needs of the families they work with.
NGALA's collaboration with Koordak Ninni Ones Playgroup is an example of a successful partnership between a non-profit organisations and a community-endorsed program. By working together, NGALA and Koordak are able to provide a comprehensive range of services and programs that meet the unique needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families in our communities.
The collaboration between NGALA and Koordak is also an example of culturally responsive practice in the early childhood sector. Culturally responsive practice recognises and values the cultural diversity of families and children and seeks to provide services and programs that are respectful of their cultural backgrounds.
In summary, the collaboration between NGALA and Koordak is a positive example of how organisations can work together to provide culturally rich and supportive services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families with young children. By prioritising cultural safety, respect, and inclusivity, the program is able to create a positive and empowering environment for families to connect and grow together.
