Koordak Wagyl Dreamers Dance Program for Children is a community-led and endorsed initiative that aims to promote cultural learning and engagement among our children through dance.

The program is designed to provide an opportunity for our Aboriginal Children to learn Noongar Dance styles and to connect with their culture and identity in a fun and engaging way. The program is led by experienced Noongar Dance teachers who are passionate about sharing their cultural knowledge and traditions with their next generations.

The program includes a range of dance styles, including traditional dances from Noongar Country, as well as contemporary styles that incorporate traditional elements. The program also includes cultural education and awareness activities, which help to provide context and understanding for the dances and their significance in their cultures.

Wagyl Dreamers is an important initiative because it promotes cultural learning and engagement among our children, helping to build a sense of connection and pride in their culture and identity. This sense of connection can have positive impacts on mental health and well-being, as well as promoting resilience in the face of ongoing cultural challenges.

Furthermore, the program is designed to be culturally safe, meaning that it is delivered in a way that is respectful of our cultures, and other clans lores and traditions. This approach helps to create a safe and supportive environment in which children can feel comfortable exploring and celebrating their culture.

Overall, Koordak Wagyl Dreamer is a valuable initiative that promotes cultural learning and engagement. The program is led by Noongar Community dance teachers, ensuring that it is culturally appropriate and accurate. By promoting a sense of connection and pride in culture and identity, the program is helping to build resilience and improve mental health and well-being among our children.
